Soren’s Sixth Grade French Toast

French Toast

Ingredients ~

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 ½ teaspoons sugar
  • salt, pinch
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon bread

Method ~

In a mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients and mix well.  Dip each slice of bread in the batter and fry on a hot griddle until golden brown.  Serve with Homemade Syrup

Homemade Syrup ~

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 Tablespoon margarine
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon maple flavoring

In a 2 cup measuring cup, stir the first four ingredients together.  Microwave on ‘high’ for 2 minutes.  Add maple flavoring and serve.
