Hartel Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients ~

  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup water ¼ cup vinegar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper

 Method ~

Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until ready to use with beef, chicken or pork.
